SolisFAST® Master Mix with UNG

From Solis BioDyne, this is a 5x-concentrated master mix designed for fast singleplex and multiplex endpoint PCR assays, featuring an in-silico designed DNA Polymerase combined with the Stability TAG and an optimized buffer for robust performance and accurate target detection [S2][S3]. The formulation supports ice-free shipping and reaction set-up, requiring only the addition of primers, nuclease-free water, and DNA template [S3].

The mix permits amplification of up to 5 kb fragments from low-complexity DNA templates (e.g. lambda, plasmid DNA) and up to 3 kb from complex templates (e.g. human genomic DNA), and incorporates increased tolerance to inhibitors [S3]. In published fast-cycling conditions — initial activation 1 min at 98 °C, denaturation 5 sec at 98 °C, annealing/extension 20 sec at 60 °C for 25 cycles — a 515 bp HIRA fragment from human gDNA was amplified in 26 min on a Biometra T1 (5 °C/sec) and in 20 min on an Eppendorf Mastercycler X50s (10 °C/sec) [S3]. The UNG-containing variant is suited to prevent carry-over contamination and is reported not to affect downstream Sanger sequencing results after 24-hour room-temperature incubation of PCR products [S2][S3].

The product is supplied as a colorless liquid (pH 7.0–9.0) and is classified as not hazardous according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 [S1]. It is stable for 1 month at 25 °C and is recommended to be stored at -20 °C in its original container, for research use only [S1][S3].
