SolisFAST® Master Mix

A 5x-concentrated ready-to-use solution from Solis BioDyne designed for fast and sensitive singleplex and multiplex PCR assays. The mix allows amplification of up to 5 kb fragments from low complexity DNA templates (such as cDNA, lambda, or plasmid DNA) and up to 3 kb from genomic DNA (human, animal, plant). It contains all components necessary for the reaction except primers, nuclease-free water, and DNA template, so users only need to add these to set up their reactions at room temperature.

The mix incorporates SolisFAST® DNA Polymerase, an in silico designed analogue of Taq DNA polymerase with enhanced stability at room temperature, fast hot-start capability, and faster extension rates compared to wild-type Taq DNA polymerase. The optimized PCR buffer includes 17.5 mM MgCl2 (giving 3.5 mM MgCl2 in a 1x PCR solution), dNTPs (dATP, dCTP, dGTP, dTTP), and additives that maximize reaction efficiency. The product is shipped worldwide at room temperature.

For storage, routine conditions are -20 °C until the expiry date; the mix can also be stored at +4 °C for up to 6 months, remains stable at room temperature (15–25 °C) for 1 month, and withstands up to 30 freeze-thaw cycles. The recommended cycling protocol starts with an initial denaturation at 98 °C for 2 min, followed by 30 cycles of denaturation at 98 °C for 5–10 sec, annealing at 55–65 °C, and extension at 72 °C, with a final extension at 72 °C for 1 min. The product is manufactured in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified quality management standards.
