SolisFAST® Master Mix with UNG

A 5x-concentrated, ready-to-use mix from Solis BioDyne designed for fast singleplex and multiplex endpoint PCR assays. It allows amplification of up to 5 kb fragments from low-complexity DNA templates such as lambda and plasmid DNA, and up to 3 kb from complex templates including human genomic DNA.

The mix combines a novel in-silico designed SolisFAST® DNA Polymerase with an optimized buffer, offering enhanced room-temperature stability, a hot-start requiring only a 2-minute initial incubation at 98 °C, faster extension than wild-type Taq, and compatibility with T/A cloning. It supports 1–18 targets depending on amplicon length and includes dUTP together with UNG enzyme so that UNG treatment can be applied to prevent carryover contamination.

The buffer provides 17.5 mM MgCl₂ (3.5 mM at 1x), along with dNTPs (dATP, dCTP, dGTP, dUTP) and additives that maximize PCR efficiency. Reaction set-up and shipping are ice-free, and the mix runs fastest on Eppendorf Mastercycler X50s together with Eppendorf Fast PCR Tube Strips (a cooperation limited to the SolisFAST® range and the Mastercycler X50 in selected regions). The product is supplied as a colourless liquid at pH 7.0–9.0, is for Research Use Only, and should be stored at –20 °C in the original container.
