Augmented Research is the controller of your personal data for the purposes of the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). Augmented Research is the trading name of ⁧مؤسسة اللا منتهى للتسويق الالكتروني⁩, a sole establishment registered in Saudi Arabia under commercial registration number 4030417352, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This notice covers the Augmented Research website and the ordering, quote and supplier processes it offers to business and institutional buyers. If you have a question or a request about your personal data, write to [email protected].

We collect personal data directly from you, at the points where you give it to us:

• Account registration: your name, email, password, and your company's name and address.
• Company and employee records: for a registered company account, the company's contact and address details, and the name, email, spending limit and administrator status of each employee an administrator invites.
• Profile and address book: name, phone number and any delivery or billing addresses you save.
• Checkout and orders: shipping and billing name, address and phone, plus order detail such as an invoice recipient, cost centre, requisition number, delivery instructions or access code where you provide one.
• Quotes: the shipping address and any free-text messages you exchange with us while negotiating a quote.
• Supplier applications: your company name, contact name, email, phone and a description of what you supply.
• Contact messages: your name, email, phone, company name and message, when the contact form is available to use.

We do not ask for special categories of data (such as health, religious or biometric data) anywhere on the site, and we do not collect payment card data: the only payment method today is bank transfer, reconciled manually.

Some of this data is required: without a shipping address we cannot deliver an order, and without contact details we cannot process a quote, a supplier application or an account.

Under the PDPL, we only process personal data where we have a basis to do so:

• To create and run your account, and to process your orders and quotes, because doing so is necessary for a contract with you, or for steps you ask us to take before entering one.
• To assess a supplier application, for the same reason: it is a step you ask us to take before a possible contract.
• To answer a message you send us, in our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, in a way that does not override your rights.
• To meet a legal obligation, such as keeping records a competent authority requires.

We do not rely on consent as the basis for any of the processing above, and we never use consent as a basis for processing special categories of data.

A small number of parties process personal data on our behalf, or as part of delivering the site to you:

• Hetzner Online GmbH hosts the servers our application and database run on, in Finland. Everything described above is stored there.
• Cloudflare sits in front of our site and handles all traffic between your browser and our servers, including your IP address, browser information and form submissions in transit. Where Cloudflare Turnstile is active on a form, it also receives a device signal used to check the request is not automated.
• Resend delivers transactional email, such as an order confirmation or a quote payment link, when we send you one.
• Delivery couriers or drivers, where an order needs to be shipped to you, receive the shipping name, address and phone number needed to make the delivery.
• Competent Saudi authorities, where the law requires us to disclose data to them.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising: we run no advertising or analytics service.

Your personal data is stored and processed on servers in Finland, in the European Union, which is outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Cloudflare's network handles traffic at locations worldwide, and Resend is a United States provider. Transferring data outside the Kingdom is necessary for us to provide the service to you.

We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as we need them for legal, accounting or dispute purposes. We keep records of an agreement you accepted, such as a quote acceptance, as evidence that the agreement was made. Where no legal obligation requires us to keep your data, you can ask us to delete it.

Under the PDPL, you have the right to:

• be informed about how we process your personal data;
• access the personal data we hold about you;
• request a copy of it in a readable format;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request destruction of your personal data when we no longer need it; and
• withdraw your consent, where consent is the basis for the processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we aim to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

We use three cookies, all strictly necessary for the site to work. We do not use any analytics, advertising or third-party cookie.

• _medusa_cache_id: kept for 24 hours, correlates your visit to a cache partition.
• _medusa_cart_id: kept for up to 7 days, remembers your active cart.
• _medusa_jwt: kept for 7 days, keeps you signed in.

Blocking these cookies will break sign-in and the shopping cart.

The connection between your browser and our network edge is encrypted (HTTPS). Account passwords are stored only as a one-way scrypt hash, never in plain text. We limit access to personal data to the people who need it to run the service. No method of storing or transmitting data online is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your personal data using appropriate technical and organisational measures.

Our site is intended for businesses and institutions, and is not directed at children. We may update this notice from time to time; when we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
