SolisFAST® Master Mix

From Solis BioDyne, this 5x-concentrated, ready-to-use solution supports fast and sensitive singleplex and multiplex endpoint PCR assays. The mix is supplied with all components required for PCR except primers, nuclease-free water, and DNA template, enabling amplification of up to 5 kb fragments from low complexity DNA templates (e.g. cDNA, lambda, plasmid DNA) and up to 3 kb from complex DNA templates such as genomic DNA.

At the core of the formulation is an in silico designed SolisFAST® DNA Polymerase—an analogue of Taq DNA polymerase with enhanced room-temperature stability, fast oligo-based hot-start activation, and faster extension rates than the wild-type enzyme. The mix is combined with a proprietary Stability TAG, an optimized buffer containing 17.5 mM MgCl2 (3.5 mM in the 1x PCR solution), dNTPs, and additives that maximize reaction efficiency. The product is also noted for increased tolerance to inhibitors.

Designed for convenience, the mix can be shipped and used at room temperature, with results achievable in 20 minutes on fast cyclers. For storage, the recommended routine condition is -20 °C until expiry; the mix is also stable for up to 6 months at +4 °C and for 1 month at room temperature (15 – 25 °C), with freeze-thaw stability of 30 cycles. The product is manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified quality management systems and is covered by European Patent EP2501716 and US Patent No. 9,321,999.
