SOLIScript® RT cDNA synthesis MIX (500 rxn)

A reverse transcription mix from Solis BioDyne designed for first-strand cDNA synthesis in a 20 µl reaction volume. At its core is SOLIScript® Reverse Transcriptase, a chimeric, genetically modified MMLV-based enzyme with reduced RNase H domain activity and exceptional stability conferred by a patented Stability TAG.

The enzyme works across a temperature range of 37°C–60°C (optimum 50°C), making it well suited to templates with complex secondary structures. Reactions are fast, with a recommended 5–30 minute reverse transcription step (5 min is sufficient for synthesis of a 1 kb amplicon), followed by 5 minutes at 85°C for enzyme inactivation. The enzyme can transcribe RNA up to 8.9 kb and is compatible with both oligo (dT) and gene-specific primers. It performs well in the presence of common PCR/qPCR inhibitors, making it a strong choice for direct 1-step qPCR workflows.

The supplied components are SOLIScript® Enzyme mix, 10x RT Reaction Premix without primers (with DTT and dNTPs), and nuclease-free water. The enzyme is purified from an E. coli strain carrying an overproducing plasmid. Listed applications include gene expression analysis, disease diagnosis, genomic analysis, and structural studies of mRNA. The product is shipped at room temperature and stored at –20°C; it remains stable at 4°C for 6 months, at room temperature (15–25°C) for 1 month, and tolerates 30 freeze-thaw cycles.
