FIREScript® RT cDNA synthesis MIX with Oligo (dT) primer (100 rxn)

This cDNA synthesis mix from Solis BioDyne is formulated for first-strand cDNA synthesis from total RNA or purified mRNA. It is supplied in a three-vial format containing the FIREScript® Reverse Transcriptase premixed with RiboGrip™ RNase Inhibitor, a 10x RT Reaction Premix that includes an Oligo (dT) primer along with DTT and dNTPs, and nuclease-free water. The reverse transcriptase is a genetically modified MMLV-based enzyme with full RNase H activity and carries a patented Stability TAG that confers exceptional thermostability.

Reaction setup can be carried out at room temperature. The enzyme functions across a temperature range of 37°C to 60°C, with an optimum at 50°C, which helps with templates that have strong secondary structures. FIREScript® Reverse Transcriptase supports reaction times as short as 15 minutes and can transcribe RNA templates up to 8.9 kb, with sensitivity down to 0.01 ng of total RNA. The mix is compatible with oligo (dT), random, and gene-specific primers. For routine use the product is stored at –20°C; it remains stable at 4°C for 6 months, at room temperature (15–25°C) for 1 month, and tolerates 30 freeze-thaw cycles.

Typical applications include gene expression analysis, disease diagnosis, genomic analysis, and structural studies of mRNA, as well as first-strand cDNA synthesis for two-step RT-PCR and RT-qPCR.
