SOLIScript® RT cDNA synthesis MIX (100 rxn)

From Solis BioDyne, this cDNA synthesis mix contains the reagents needed to perform first-strand cDNA synthesis from RNA templates, supplied in a three-tube format. The mix is built around a chimeric, genetically modified MMLV-based reverse transcriptase with reduced RNase H domain activity, and is exceptionally stable thanks to a patented polypeptide modification known as the Stability TAG [S1][S2].

The enzyme has a working temperature range of 37°C to 60°C with an optimum at 50°C, making it suitable for templates with complex secondary structures, and operates as a fast enzyme with a recommended reaction time of 5–30 minutes, capable of transcribing up to 8.9 kb RNA sequences [S1]. It is compatible with both oligo(dT) and gene-specific primers and is described by the manufacturer as a strong choice for direct one-step qPCR workflows due to its performance in the presence of common inhibitors [S1].

Documented applications include gene expression analysis, disease diagnosis, genomic analysis, and structural studies of mRNA [S1]. Storage and stability guidance from the manufacturer indicates routine storage at –20°C until the expiry date, with additional stability at 4°C for 6 months and at room temperature (15–25°C) for 1 month, plus freeze–thaw stability for 30 cycles, with reaction setup performed at room temperature [S1].
