SOLIScript® KIT (50 rxn)

From Solis BioDyne, this cDNA synthesis kit features a Reverse Transcriptase (RT) that is an in-silico designed chimeric RNA-directed DNA polymerase. The enzyme can synthesize a complementary DNA strand from ssRNA or ssDNA and is active at higher temperatures (up to 60°C). It is a robust enzyme for RNA detection, with enhanced stability at room temperature and no activity loss for up to 1 month. The RT contains an RNase H domain with reduced activity.

Applications include first-strand cDNA synthesis, RT-PCR, and RT-qPCR. The sample type is RNA and the final product is cDNA (first strand). The product format is an enzyme with buffer, and the enzyme is purified from an E. coli strain that carries an overproducing plasmid containing the SOLIScript® Reverse Transcriptase gene. The storage and dilution buffer contains 50% glycerol (v/v), 20 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.5 at 25°C, 100 mM KCl, 0.1 mM EDTA and stabilizers.

The kit includes SOLIScript® Reverse Transcriptase and a 10x RT Reaction Buffer with DTT (500 mM Tris-HCl pH 8.3, 500 mM KCl, 30 mM MgCl2, 100 mM DTT). Routine storage is at -20°C; temporary storage for up to 1 month at room temperature has no detrimental effects on reagent quality. The kit is shipped at room temperature.
