HOT FIREPol® MultiPlex Mix Ready To Load with 10 mM MgCl2

Solis BioDyne offers a 5x-concentrated ready-to-use solution designed for hot-start multiplex PCR, containing all reagents required for the reaction except template, primers and water. The mix is optimized for amplification of up to 18 targets in a single reaction and includes an additional compound that allows direct loading onto agarose gels. Two tracking dyes are included to monitor progress during electrophoresis: a blue dye that migrates equivalent to 3.5–4.5 kb DNA fragments and a yellow dye that migrates equivalent to 35–45 bp DNA fragments.

The mix composition comprises HOT FIREPol® DNA polymerase, 5x MultiPlex Buffer, 10 mM MgCl2 (providing 2 mM MgCl2 in the 1x PCR solution), dNTPs and BSA. Routine storage is at -18ºC to -28ºC, while shipping or temporary storage for up to one month at room temperature or up to six months at 2–8ºC has no detrimental effect on product quality.

Typical applications include hot-start PCR and multiplex PCR. The product is manufactured under an ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified Quality Management System and is supplied for research use only. Reaction setup at room temperature is highly recommended, and the mix is not advised for applications requiring spectrophotometric absorbance or fluorescence measurements, as the yellow and blue dyes can interfere with these readings.
