HOT FIREPol® MultiPlex Mix Ready To Load with 10 mM MgCl2

This 5x-concentrated, ready-to-use mix from Solis BioDyne is designed for hot-start multiplex PCR and contains all reagents required for the reaction except template, primers, and water. The formulation is optimised for amplification of up to 18 targets in a single reaction and includes a density compound plus two tracking dyes that allow the PCR product to be loaded directly onto an agarose gel while electrophoresis progress is monitored.

The mix contains HOT FIREPol® DNA polymerase, a 5x MultiPlex Buffer with 10 mM MgCl2 (giving 2 mM in the 1x working solution), dNTPs, BSA, and blue and yellow tracking dyes. The blue dye migrates to a position equivalent to a 3.5–4.5 kb DNA fragment, while the yellow dye migrates equivalent to 35–45 bp. According to the safety information, the product is a green liquid with a pH of 7.0–9.0 and is not classified as hazardous to health or the environment.

Routine storage is at -18°C to -28°C. The mix may be shipped or temporarily kept at room temperature for up to one month, or at 2–8°C for up to six months, without detrimental effects on quality. Reaction setup at room temperature is recommended, and the product is manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified quality management.
