HOT FIREPol® Blend Master Mix Ready to Load with 7.5 mM MgCl2

Solis BioDyne's HOT FIREPol® Blend Master Mix Ready to Load with 7.5 mM MgCl2 is a 5x hot-start PCR master mix supplied as a premixed ready-to-use solution containing all reagents required for PCR, except template, primers, and water. The blend combines two enzymes — HOT FIREPol® DNA polymerase and a proofreading polymerase — providing both 5'→3' exonuclease activity and 3'→5' proofreading activity. The manufacturer reports increased fidelity (up to fivefold) compared to regular Taq polymerase, along with the ability to amplify longer fragments. Generated PCR products are compatible with both blunt-end and T/A cloning procedures.

The Ready to Load formulation includes a compound that enables direct loading of PCR reactions onto agarose gels, together with two tracking dyes (blue and yellow) that allow progress to be monitored during electrophoresis. The mix is recommended for any PCR application that will be visualized by agarose gel electrophoresis with ethidium bromide staining, but is not recommended for applications relying on spectrophotometric measurements (absorbance or fluorescence), because the yellow and blue dyes can interfere with those readouts.

The product is a green-coloured liquid with a pH of 7.0–9.0 and is intended for Research Use Only. It is manufactured by Solis BioDyne OÜ in Tartu, Estonia, and should be stored at -28°C to -18°C in its original container until the stated expiry date.
