HOT FIREPol® Blend Master Mix Ready to Load with 7.5 mM MgCl2

From Solis BioDyne, this premixed ready-to-use solution supplies all reagents required for PCR — except template, primers, and water — together with 7.5 mM MgCl2. The 5x master mix is formulated for standard hot-start cycling and combines HOT FIREPol® DNA polymerase with a proofreading polymerase, delivering both 5'→ 3' exonuclease activity and 3'→ 5' proofreading activity. Fidelity is increased up to fivefold compared with regular Taq polymerase, and the blend also supports amplification of longer fragments. PCR products generated with the mix are compatible with both blunt-end and T/A cloning procedures.

The Ready to Load version includes an additional compound that permits direct loading onto an agarose gel, along with two tracking dyes — blue and yellow — that allow monitoring of progress during electrophoresis. It is recommended for any PCR application that will be visualized by agarose gel electrophoresis and ethidium bromide staining. The mix is not recommended for applications relying on spectrophotometric measurements (absorbance or fluorescence), because the yellow and blue dyes can interfere with these readings. All reagents in the range are stable at room temperature.
