FIREScript® RT cDNA synthesis MIX without primers (500 rxn)

This cDNA synthesis mix from Solis BioDyne is designed for first-strand cDNA synthesis from total RNA or purified mRNA. It is supplied as a three-vial formulation combining FIREScript® reverse transcriptase with RiboGrip™ RNase Inhibitor in a single enzyme mix, a 10x RT Reaction Premix without primers, and nuclease-free water, allowing the user to supply their own primers (oligo-dT, random, gene-specific, or a combination). Reactions are set up at a 20 µl volume.

The reverse transcriptase is an improved version of the Murine Moloney Leukemia Virus (M-MLV) enzyme with enhanced thermostability and faster synthesis rates. FIREScript® works across a temperature range of 37–60°C, with the manufacturer citing an upper working temperature of 50°C for high yield and sensitivity. Complete cDNA synthesis is reported within 15 minutes, and the enzyme is able to detect total RNA inputs from 0.01 ng while generating full-length cDNA of at least 8 kb with full RNase H activity. For longer templates (>5 kb), the recommended conditions are 37–50°C for 30–60 minutes.

Thanks to a proprietary stability tag, FIREScript® remains active at room temperature for 30 days, and reaction set-up can be performed at room temperature without loss of activity. The product is for Research Use Only and is stored routinely at -28°C to -18°C.
