FIREScript® RT cDNA synthesis MIX with Oligo (dT) primer (500 rxn)

A reverse transcription reagent from Solis BioDyne supplied as a 3-vial MIX for first-strand cDNA synthesis from total RNA or purified mRNA. At its core is FIREScript® Reverse Transcriptase, a genetically modified MMLV-based enzyme with full RNase H activity and a patented "Stability TAG" that makes the formulation safe to handle and ship at room temperature.

The MIX combines the FIREScript® Enzyme Mix (containing FIREScript® RT and RiboGrip™ RNase Inhibitor), a 10x RT Reaction Premix with Oligo (dT) primer (including DTT and dNTPs), and nuclease-free water. The enzyme works across a 37°C–60°C temperature range with an optimum of 50°C, with a stated reaction time of 5–30 minutes and the ability to transcribe RNA sequences up to 8.9 kb. Oligo (dT), random, and gene-specific primers are all compatible.

Typical applications include gene expression analysis, disease diagnosis, genomic analysis, and structural studies of mRNA, as well as first-strand cDNA synthesis for 2-step RT-PCR and RT-qPCR. The product is shipped at room temperature and should be stored at –20°C upon receipt. Stated stability is 6 months at 4°C, 1 month at room temperature (15–25°C), and 30 freeze-thaw cycles.
