FIREScript® KIT (50 rxn)

From Solis BioDyne, this cDNA synthesis kit is built around FIREScript® Reverse Transcriptase, a genetically engineered Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus (MMLV) based enzyme described as an improved version of the wild-type M-MLV reverse transcriptase with higher sensitivity, faster synthesis rates, improved thermostability and room-temperature stability. The kit includes FIREScript® Reverse Transcriptase and a 10x RT Reaction Buffer with DTT. It supports first-strand cDNA synthesis from total RNA or purified mRNA with oligo-dT, random or gene-specific primers at 37–60 °C, with cDNA synthesis completed in 15 minutes. The enzyme detects total RNA amounts from 0.01 ng and generates full-length cDNA of at least 8 kb, retaining full RNase H activity. For templates greater than 5 kb, the protocol uses 37–50 °C for 30–60 minutes to increase yield. The enzyme is stable at room temperature for 30 days. Routine storage is at -28 °C to -18 °C, with transport at ambient temperature; the pH range is 7.0–9.0. The product is for Research Use Only.

Listed applications include first-strand cDNA synthesis for 2-step RT-PCR and RT-qPCR, and reverse transcription at elevated temperature to reduce the effects of RNA secondary structure.
