FIREPol® Master Mix Ready to Load (7.5 mM MgCl2)

A 5x-concentrated ready-to-use solution from Solis BioDyne that contains all reagents required for PCR (except template, primers, and water). The mix includes FIREPol® DNA polymerase, 5x Reaction Buffer B (0.4 M Tris-HCl, 0.1 M (NH4)2SO4, 0.1% w/v Tween-20), 7.5 mM MgCl2 (1.5 mM in 1x PCR solution), and 1 mM of each dNTP (200 µM each in 1x PCR solution). Two tracking dyes are included—a blue dye migrating equivalent to 3.5–4.5 kb DNA fragment and a yellow dye migrating equivalent to 35–45 bp DNA fragment—along with a compound that increases sample density, allowing direct loading onto agarose gels.

Suitable for a wide range of PCR assays to be visualized by agarose gel electrophoresis and ethidium bromide staining. Routine storage is at -18°C to -28°C; shipping and temporary storage for up to 1 month at room temperature or up to 6 months at 2–8°C have no detrimental effects on product quality. The recommended cycling protocol uses an initial denaturation at 95°C for 3–5 min, followed by 25–30 cycles of denaturation at 95°C, annealing at 54–66°C, and extension at 72°C, with a final extension at 72°C for 5–10 min.
