FIREPol® Master Mix Ready to Load (7.5 mM MgCl2)

A 5x-concentrated, ready-to-use PCR master mix from Solis BioDyne supplies all reagents needed for PCR except template, primers, and water. The mix also contains a compound that increases sample density for direct loading onto agarose gels and two tracking dyes: a blue dye migrating equivalent to 3.5–4.5 kb DNA fragments and a yellow dye migrating equivalent to 35–45 bp DNA fragments.

It provides FIREPol® DNA polymerase, a 5x Reaction Buffer B (0.4 M Tris-HCl, 0.1 M (NH4)2SO4, 0.1% w/v Tween-20), 7.5 mM MgCl2 (yielding 1.5 mM in a 1x reaction), and 1 mM of each dNTP (200 µM of each in a 1x reaction). The mix is suited for a wide range of PCR assays and is recommended for products visualised by agarose gel electrophoresis and ethidium bromide staining, though it is not suited to spectrophotometric (absorbance or fluorescence) applications because the yellow and blue dyes can interfere.

Routine storage is at -18°C to -28°C, while shipping and temporary storage for up to 1 month at room temperature or up to 6 months at 2–8°C does not affect product quality. The mix is a green liquid with pH 7.0–9.0 and is manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified Quality Management Systems. For research use only; not for use in diagnostic procedures.
