FIREPol® Master Mix Ready to Load (12.5 mM MgCl2)

A 5x-concentrated ready-to-load PCR master mix from Solis BioDyne, formulated for direct loading onto agarose gels after amplification. According to the manufacturer, the mix is intended for any PCR application that will be visualized by agarose gel electrophoresis with ethidium bromide staining. The product is supplied as a green liquid with a pH range of 7.0–9.0 and is labeled for research use only.

Per the safety data sheet, the formulation is built around water, with glycerol, magnesium chloride at 12.5 mM, a yellow dye and a blue dye for tracking during gel loading, FIREPol® DNA Polymerase, and the four dNTPs (dATP, dCTP, dGTP, dTTP). The mixture is not classified as hazardous under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), and no components are present at concentrations considered hazardous to health.

Routine storage is recommended at -28 °C to -18 °C in the original container until the expiry date marked on the package, with transport at ambient temperature. The mixture is stable under normal conditions; incompatible materials include strong oxidizing agents, acids, and alkali. Recommended personal protective equipment includes safety glasses with side shields, nitrile rubber gloves, and suitable protective clothing, used in well-ventilated areas with access to eyewash stations.
