FIREPol® Master Mix (7.5 mM MgCl2)

Solis BioDyne offers a 5x premixed, ready-to-use master mix containing all reagents required for PCR. At its core is FIREPol® DNA Polymerase, a highly processive and thermostable enzyme purified from an E. coli strain carrying an overproducing plasmid with a modified gene of Thermus aquaticus DNA Polymerase. The enzyme exhibits 5'→3' polymerization-dependent exonuclease replacement activity but lacks 3'→5' exonuclease activity, with enhanced stability at room temperature and no activity loss for up to 1 month.

Suited for a wide range of PCR assays, including TA cloning, the FIREPol® Master Mix (7.5 mM MgCl2) is intended for research use only. Quality control data indicate an SDS/PAGE band of 95 kD at >98% purity, an error rate of ~2.5 x 10 -5 per nucleotide per cycle, an accuracy of ~4 x 10 4, and an estimated half life at 95°C of 1.5 hours. The product is a colorless liquid with a pH of 7.0–9.0, recommended for routine storage at -28°C to -18°C. Shipping and temporary storage for up to 1 month at room temperature has no detrimental effects on quality.
