STEMdiff Pancreatic Progenitor Kit

From STEMCELL Technologies, the STEMdiff™ Pancreatic Progenitor Kit is a serum-free medium that supports the efficient and reproducible generation of pancreatic progenitor cells from human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs), including human ES and iPS cells.

Differentiation proceeds through four sequential stages: definitive endoderm, primitive gut tube, posterior foregut endoderm, and pancreatic progenitor cells. The resulting cells express key markers associated with pancreatic progenitor identity, including PDX-1, NKX6.1, and SOX9, and show up-regulation of insulin and glucagon.

These pancreatic progenitor cells can be further differentiated into insulin-producing beta cells or directed toward other endocrine and exocrine pancreatic cell fates. The kit has been optimized for the differentiation of hPSCs maintained in mTeSR™1.
