STEMdiff Hematopoietic Kit

Developed by STEMCELL Technologies, this defined, serum-free culture system drives the differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells into hematopoietic progenitor cells. Over a 12-day protocol, the kit yields CD34+ cells that can give rise to myeloid and erythroid lineages, supporting studies of developmental hematopoiesis, disease modeling, and high-throughput drug screening.

The workflow includes a basal medium and stage-specific supplements formulated to recapitulate embryonic blood development in vitro, offering a reproducible alternative to serum-containing protocols. Components are supplied in single-use vials and should be stored at -20 degrees C to preserve activity.

Researchers use the resulting hematopoietic progenitors for colony-forming assays, flow cytometry characterization, and downstream applications such as T-cell engineering and natural killer cell generation.
