STEMdiff Cardiomyocyte Plating Kit

A plating medium system developed by STEMCELL Technologies is intended to support the thawing and replating of human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hPSC-CMs). The manufacturer describes the formulation as one that improves plating efficiency of hPSC-CMs during the transition from cryopreservation to thawing, and from harvesting to replating, while retaining the functional capacity of the cardiomyocytes for use in various downstream applications and analyses.

According to a third-party source, the kit can double the yield of hPSC-CMs after dissociation, thawing, and replating, and is reported to increase cardiomyocyte plating efficiency by 2-fold. The system is designed for hPSC-CMs produced using the STEMdiff™ Ventricular Cardiomyocyte Differentiation Kit or the STEMdiff™ Atrial Cardiomyocyte Differentiation Kit, and is part of a broader workflow of compatible STEMdiff™ cardiomyocyte products. The product is intended for research use only and is not for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic uses.

Following thawing or replating, hPSC-CMs can be maintained long-term using the STEMdiff™ Cardiomyocyte Maintenance Kit. The kit's Support Medium component is also available for individual sale.
