STEMdiff Atrial Cardio Diff Kit

STEMCELL Technologies supplies a culture medium kit for differentiating human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) — including embryonic stem (ES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells — into atrial cardiomyocytes. The kit provides a differentiation medium for generating cardiac troponin T-positive (cTnT+) atrial cardiomyocytes from a clump culture of hPSCs maintained in mTeSR™1, mTeSR™ Plus, or TeSR™-E8™ on Corning® Matrigel®-coated plates, together with a separate maintenance medium for long-term culture. Following the differentiation protocol, greater than 80% of the resulting cells are cTnT+, with an average yield of 1 × 10^6 cells harvested from a single well of a 12-well plate. The cardiomyocytes can be maintained for one month or longer and are suitable for various downstream applications and analyses.

The complete kit includes STEMdiff™ Cardiomyocyte Differentiation Basal Medium, STEMdiff™ Atrial Cardiomyocyte Differentiation Supplements A, B, and C, and STEMdiff™ Cardiomyocyte Maintenance Basal Medium with its supplement. Basal media are stored at 2–8 °C while supplements are stored at –20 °C, with shelf lives ranging from 12 months (basal media) to 18 or 24 months (supplements) from the date of manufacture.
