STEMdiff Astrocyte Maturation Kit

From STEMCELL Technologies, this maturation kit is used to generate cortical-type astrocytes from astrocytic precursors derived from human embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). When combined with the STEMdiff™ Astrocyte Differentiation Kit, the workflow produces a highly pure astrocyte population—more than 70% S100β-positive, more than 60% GFAP-positive, and fewer than 15% doublecortin-positive neurons—in as little as 7 weeks from hPSCs. The resulting astrocytes can be maintained long-term in culture and are suited to modeling human neurological development and disease, drug screening, toxicity testing, and cell therapy validation.

Each kit includes STEMdiff™ Astrocyte Maturation Basal Medium (80 mL, stored at 2 - 8°C), Supplement A (20 mL, stored at -20°C), and Supplement B (1 mL, stored at -20°C). All components are stable for 2 years from the date of manufacture.
