SolisFAST® 1-step RT-PCR Kit with UNG Ready to Load

This one-step reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) kit from Solis BioDyne combines cDNA synthesis and end-point PCR in a single tube, streamlining the workflow for analysing RNA targets. The Ready to Load format further streamlines gel electrophoresis workflows by reducing reaction-to-reaction variation, minimising hands-on steps and shortening reaction set-up to results time.

The kit pairs exceptionally fast and robust polymerase with highly processive reverse transcriptases to deliver an under 1-hour RT-PCR cycling protocol. Its optimised composition supports detection of as little as 0.1 pg of RNA and enables efficient multiplexing of up to 5 RNA targets simultaneously. In a singleplex demonstration, a 496 bp fragment was successfully amplified from a serial dilution of 100 ng to 0.1 pg of Human Reference Total RNA using a 54-minute total reaction time protocol, and in a multiplex assay five targets (72, 109, 159, 206 and 443 bp) were efficiently amplified from 100 to 0.01 ng of input RNA.

Key features include AmpliBoost™ RT-PCR enhancer for tackling GC-rich amplicons, preblended UNG enzyme to prevent carry-over contamination, and proprietary Stability TAG technology. The kit is stable at 25 °C for 1 month with equivalent performance to material stored at -20 °C. It is suitable for virus detection and performs reliably in both singleplex and multiplex RT-PCR assays.
