SolisFAST® 1-step RT-PCR Kit with UNG

This one-step RT-PCR kit from Solis BioDyne enables sensitive cDNA synthesis and end-point PCR in a single tube, streamlining the workflow for analysing RNA targets. The kit includes all necessary reagents except RNA template and primers, supplied in a 4-tube format containing 4x One-step HOT SolisFAST® Mix with UNG, 40x One-step RT Mix, 5x AmpliBoost™ RT-PCR Enhancer, and nuclease-free water.

The 4x One-step HOT SolisFAST® Mix with UNG contains HOT SolisFAST® DNA Polymerase, an in silico-designed analogue of Taq DNA polymerase with chemical hot-start and approximately 2-4 times faster extension rates, along with heat-inactivatable Salini UNG® Uracil-N-Glycosylase to prevent carry-over contamination. The 40x One-step RT Mix contains FIREScript® and SOLIScript® Reverse Transcriptases active at temperatures up to 60 °C, together with the RNase Inhibitor RiboGrip® that inactivates commonly encountered RNases A, B and C. The 5x AmpliBoost™ RT-PCR Enhancer is included to improve sensitivity and performance with GC-rich and other challenging amplicons.

According to Solis BioDyne, the kit delivers RT-PCR results in under 1 hour and can detect as little as 0.1 pg of RNA, with multiplexing capability for up to 5 targets in a single reaction. A 496 bp fragment was successfully amplified from a serial dilution of 100 ng to 0.1 pg of Human Reference Total RNA in a 54-minute cycling protocol. The kit is reported to be stable at 25 °C for 1 month and is manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified quality management systems, supplied for research use only.
