RosetteSep Hu Prog Basic Pre-Enrich Kit

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this immunodensity negative selection cocktail is designed to pre-enrich hematopoietic progenitor cells from human cord blood. Unwanted cells are targeted for removal with antibody complexes recognizing CD3, CD11b, CD19, and glycophorin A on red blood cells. When centrifuged over a buoyant density medium such as Lymphoprep™, the unwanted cells pellet along with the red blood cells, while hematopoietic progenitor cells collect as an enriched layer at the interface between the plasma and the buoyant density medium. Cells of interest can subsequently be positively selected from the pre-enriched population using EasySep™ (e.g., EasySep™ Human CD34 Positive Selection).

The kit is fast and easy to use, requires no special equipment or training, and yields untouched, viable cells. It can be combined with SepMate™ for consistent, high-throughput sample processing. Starting with fresh human cord blood, the CD34+CD45+ viable cell content of the pre-enriched fraction typically ranges from 2 - 16%.
