RosetteSep Hu Prog Basic Pre-Enrich 5 mL

A cell isolation reagent kit from STEMCELL Technologies, the RosetteSep™ Human Progenitor Cell Basic Pre-Enrichment Kit is designed to pre-enrich hematopoietic progenitor cells from human cord blood by negative selection. Unwanted cells are targeted for removal with antibody complexes recognizing CD3, CD11b, CD19, and glycophorin A on red blood cells. When centrifuged over a buoyant density medium such as Lymphoprep™, the unwanted cells pellet along with the red blood cells, while hematopoietic progenitor cells are present as an enriched population at the interface between the plasma and the buoyant density medium. Cells of interest can subsequently be positively selected from the pre-enriched cell population using EasySep™, such as the EasySep™ Human CD34 Positive Selection kit.

The workflow is fast and easy to use, requires no special equipment or training, and yields untouched, viable cells. It can be combined with SepMate™ for consistent, high-throughput sample processing. According to the manufacturer, when starting with fresh human cord blood, the CD34+CD45+ viable cell content of the pre-enriched fraction typically ranges from 2–16%. The product supports cell isolation research in the areas of immunology and stem cell biology.
