RoboSep Mouse Pan-B Cell Isolation Kit

From STEMCELL Technologies, this immunomagnetic negative selection kit isolates untouched, highly purified pan-B cells (CD19+, CD19+CD138+, and CD138+) — including conventional B-2 B cells, B-1 B cells, and plasma cells — from mouse splenocytes. The procedure is fast, easy-to-use, and column-free, yielding viable cells that are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or cell-based assays. Unwanted non-pan-B cells are labeled with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin-coated magnetic particles, then separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet; desired cells are simply poured off into a new tube.

The kit comprises the EasySep™ Mouse Pan-B Cell Isolation Cocktail — a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS and 0.1% BSA that includes an Fc receptor-blocking antibody — together with EasySep™ Streptavidin RapidSpheres™, a suspension of magnetic particles in PBS. Starting in early 2023, select EasySep™ Mouse kits will transition to include an FcR blocker instead of Normal Rat Serum, with affected kits now shipped in a single package while still enabling isolation of cells with the same performance as before.

When using single-cell suspensions from other tissue types, the kit may require optimization. Starting with C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes, the pan-B cell content (CD19+, CD19+CD138+, and CD138+) of the isolated fraction typically ranges from 91 - 98%.
