RoboSep Human CD8 Pos Sel Kit II

STEMCELL Technologies offers an immunomagnetic positive selection kit designed to isolate highly purified CD8+ T cells from fresh or previously frozen human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) or washed leukapheresis samples. The kit targets CD8+ cells with antibodies recognizing the CD8 surface marker, and the selection cocktail includes an antibody to human Fc receptor to prevent non-specific binding.

Desired cells are labeled with antibody complexes and magnetic particles, then separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet by simply pouring or pipetting off unwanted cells. The procedure can be completed in as little as 15 minutes and is designed for processing 1 x 10^9 cells, with up to 99% purity achievable and no columns required. Starting from a single-cell suspension of human PBMCs, the CD8+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 96.5 ± 2.4% (mean ± SD) when using "The Big Easy" EasySep™ Magnet.

Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction. The kit is configured for use with the RoboSep™ fully automated cell separator and supports immunology research workflows. The CD8 antigen is expressed on cytotoxic T cells and weakly on a subset of NK cells.
