RoboSep Human CD19 Pos Sel Kit II

STEMCELL Technologies offers this positive selection kit for isolating human CD19+ cells, including B cells, from PBMCs or washed leukapheresis samples. The procedure uses a tetramer antibody complex that recognizes CD19 along with dextran-coated magnetic particles, and the formulation includes antibodies against human Fc receptors to minimize non-specific binding. Separation is column-free and magnetic, with isolated cells retained in the tube while unwanted cells are poured off. According to the manufacturer, the protocol can be completed in as little as 18 minutes.

The kit is intended for use on both fresh and previously frozen PBMC samples. CD19 is expressed on mature B cells and B cell progenitors, but is lost upon maturation to plasma cells, and is also expressed on follicular dendritic cells. The manufacturer reports typical isolated CD19+ purity of 98 ± 1% (mean ± SD) using the purple EasySep™ Magnet, and a third-party distributor cites purity up to 99%.
