RoboSep Hu WB CD34 Pos Selection Kit II

From STEMCELL Technologies, this immunomagnetic positive selection kit is designed to isolate human CD34+ cells from fresh whole blood or freshly prepared buffy coat. Desired cells are targeted with Tetrameric Antibody Complexes recognizing CD34 (a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody against human CD34) and dextran-coated magnetic particles, and the cocktail also contains an antibody to the human Fc receptor to minimize nonspecific binding. The CD34 antigen is expressed on hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, making the kit relevant to research areas including chimerism, immunology, and stem cell biology. Labeled cells are separated using an EasySep™ magnet without columns, with target cells remaining in the tube while unwanted cells are poured off.

Compatible magnets include "The Big Easy" EasySep™ Magnet and the RoboSep™-S fully automated cell separation instrument. According to the manufacturer, when processed with RoboSep™-S the CD34+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 90.4 ± 7.0% (gated on CD45+ cells; mean ± SD), with start and final isolated fraction purities of 0.06% and 95.31% reported in a representative run (RBCs removed by lysis prior to flow cytometry). The kit can be used instead of the EasySep™ Human Whole Blood CD34 Positive Selection Kit, and a separate EasySep™ Human Cord Blood CD34 Positive Selection Kit II is recommended for fresh cord blood.
