STEMCELL Technologies offers the HLA Chimerism Whole Blood CD15 Positive Selection Kit for isolating highly purified human CD15+ cells from fresh human whole blood or buffy coat samples. The procedure uses an optimized immunomagnetic separation protocol that does not require columns, allowing the target cells to be obtained from the starting material as part of the EasySep™ workflow used in chimerism research applications.

According to the manufacturer, when starting with human whole blood, the CD15+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 99.2 ± 1.1% (gated on CD45; mean ± SD using the "Big Easy" EasySep™ Magnet). In the example provided by the manufacturer, the purities of the start and final isolated fractions are reported as 57.6% and 99.9%, respectively.
