PneumaCult AOM with AggreWell400, 1 pk

From STEMCELL Technologies, this kit combines PneumaCult™ Apical-Out Airway Organoid (AOAO) Medium with an AggreWell™400 24-well plate for the generation of apical-out airway organoids. The serum- and BPE-free medium supports differentiation of human primary bronchial epithelial cells (HBECs) or human airway epithelial cells (HAECs) into mature apical-out airway organoids, with cilia beating observed by day 15 of the protocol. When fully differentiated, the organoids display outward-facing ciliated cells characteristic of the apical surface of the airway epithelium in vivo.

Prior expansion of HBECs or HAECs in PneumaCult™-Ex Plus Medium, followed by induction of organoid differentiation in PneumaCult™ AOAO Medium, constitutes a complete serum- and BPE-free workflow. Typical applications include infectious disease modeling and high-throughput drug screening in three-dimensional in vitro model systems.
