NeuroCult Proliferation Kit (Mouse&Rat)

Neural stem and progenitor cell expansion from rodent nervous tissue is supported by this serum-free culture system. The kit combines a basal medium and a proliferation supplement optimized to maintain self-renewing neurospheres derived from mouse and rat brain. Researchers pair it with recombinant human EGF and bFGF, added separately to the complete medium, to drive sphere formation and sustained passaging over multiple weeks in vitro.

The system supports standardized workflows in developmental neuroscience, neurotoxicology screening, and transplantation studies, where consistent expansion of primary neural stem cells is required before downstream differentiation or cryopreservation. Cultured spheres can be analyzed by immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, or transcriptomic profiling, making this a flexible platform for both basic and applied neural research.
