A defined, serum-free system for neural cell research, this differentiation kit from STEMCELL Technologies supports the controlled in vitro maturation of human neural stem cells into neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes. The kit supplies a complete differentiation supplement that is combined with the NeuroCult NS-A Basal Medium, forming a workflow tailored to adherent culture formats and giving laboratories an end-to-end approach for proliferation, differentiation, and downstream analysis.

Human ES- and iPSC-derived neural progenitors cultured with this kit commit to neuronal and glial lineages under defined conditions, yielding populations that express markers such as MAP2 and β-III tubulin for neurons and GFAP for astrocytes. This reduces reliance on undefined biological matrices and supports reproducible differentiation across multiple donor lines. Resulting cultures are compatible with immunocytochemistry, qPCR, and flow cytometry workflows.
