Ms IgG3,k Ctrl, MG3-35, UC, 500µg

This unconjugated mouse monoclonal isotype control antibody from STEMCELL Technologies is designated clone MG3-35 and belongs to the IgG3, kappa subclass. It is supplied at 0.5 mg/mL in a phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide, and should be stored undiluted at 2 – 8 °C without freezing. The reagent is intended for use as an isotype-matched control to estimate the degree of non-specific binding produced by an antigen-specific antibody, and the suggested working concentration is comparable to that of the specific antibody of interest.

The MG3-35 antibody recognises keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) and has unknown binding specificity. It was generated against trinitrophenol plus KLH and purified by affinity chromatography. The clone has been screened on activated, resting, live, and fixed tissues from mouse, rat, human, and non-human primates. Applications verified by the manufacturer include flow cytometry (FC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), and immunofluorescence microscopy (IF); reported applications further include functional assay (FA), FC, ICC, IF, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunoprecipitation (IP), and Western blotting (WB). The clone has been specifically verified for assessing non-specific binding in flow cytometry and in immunofluorescence microscopy, including surface and intracellular staining. When paired with a conjugated primary antibody, an isotype control bearing the same conjugate (for example Alexa Fluor® 488, biotin, FITC, or PE) should be selected.
