A FITC-conjugated antibody reagent from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone DX1 is directed against dextran, a natural polysaccharide with several uses as an additive. According to the manufacturer, Clone DX1 can be used in cell isolation, flow cytometry, or other procedures. Application data published by the manufacturer includes competitive ELISA and Western blot analyses performed with the unconjugated form, as well as flow cytometry analysis of C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow cells processed with the EasySep™ Mouse CD11b Positive Selection Kit and labelled with the FITC-conjugated reagent.

The Safety Data Sheet describes the product as a clear liquid laboratory reagent that is not classified as hazardous under the Globally Harmonized System or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. The mixture contains 0.1% sodium azide (CAS 26628-22-8).
