Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this mouse IgG2a, kappa isotype control antibody (clone C1.18.4) is conjugated to a fluorescent label and intended for use as an isotype-matched control when estimating the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody of the same subclass.

The isotype control should share the same subclass of heavy chain and light chain as the specific antibody being used, and when a conjugated antibody is employed, an isotype control conjugated to the same fluorochrome should be chosen. The clone has been verified for assessing non-specific binding to cells in flow cytometry and is also suitable for functional assays, immunohistochemistry, and Western blot. The host species is mouse.
