Mouse Intestinal Organoids

These cryopreserved organoids from STEMCELL Technologies offer a convenient route to establishing or standardizing intestinal organoid cultures without the need to isolate intestinal crypts from primary tissue. The material is derived from the small intestine of C57BL/6 mice and was originally cultured in IntestiCult™ Organoid Growth Medium (Mouse) and cryopreserved in CryoStor® CS10. After thawing, the organoids can be passaged and expanded using IntestiCult™ Organoid Growth Medium (Mouse) and refrozen in CryoStor® CS10, helping to standardize experimental starting materials. The cultures also serve as a source for generating intestinal organoid-derived monolayer cultures that provide access to the apical surface of the epithelium.

Mouse intestinal organoid cultures are applicable to research in fields including epithelial cell biology, cancer, cystic fibrosis, microbiomics, intestinal immunology, and bacterial or viral pathogenesis. STEMCELL Technologies specifies storage at -135 °C or colder, with stability for 12 months from the date of manufacture stated on the vial label.
