MesenCult Osteo Stim. Kit (Mouse)

Primary mouse bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells can be driven toward a mature osteoblast lineage with this complete differentiation system from STEMCELL Technologies. The MesenCult Osteo Stim. Kit (Mouse) supplies a basal medium plus OsteoStim Supplement that, when combined, form a complete medium for in vitro osteogenic induction. Mineralized extracellular matrix deposition is detected by Alizarin Red or von Kossa staining after 10 to 21 days of culture.

Mouse MSCs at passage 2 to 4 are seeded and fed complete medium every 2 to 3 days, maintained at 37°C in a humidified 5% CO2 incubator. Each component is provided in a separate vial, allowing fresh complete medium to be prepared immediately before use. By day 14 to 21, calcium phosphate nodules are visible, and quantitative mineralization can be measured by staining extraction and absorbance reading. This cell culture workflow supports skeletal biology, bone tissue engineering, and orthopedic preclinical studies using mouse models.

Lot-to-lot performance is verified using primary mouse MSCs to confirm reproducible mineralized nodule formation. The basal medium is shipped refrigerated and the supplement is shipped frozen; the supplement is added to basal medium at the time of complete medium preparation. Research use only.
