MesenCult Adipogenic Diff Kit (Mouse)

STEMCELL Technologies supplies a serum-based differentiation system for converting murine mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) into mature lipid-laden adipocytes in vitro. The MesenCult Adipogenic Diff Kit (Mouse) pairs a basal medium with a 10X supplement that drives commitment to the adipocyte lineage within 7 to 14 days, with mature fat cells observable by day 14 to 21 when stained with Oil Red O.

Researchers in obesity, type 2 diabetes, and adipose tissue biology apply this reagent to study lineage commitment, gene expression programs, and lipid accumulation. Common downstream workflows include qPCR profiling, immunocytochemistry of PPARγ and FABP4, and triglyceride quantification. Components are validated specifically for mouse MSCs derived from bone marrow or adipose tissue and are not interchangeable with the human-format kit.

The basal medium and supplement ship frozen; store the supplement at -20°C, refrigerate the basal medium at 4°C, and aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Each kit supports differentiation across multiple 6-well or 12-well culture plates and is intended for research use only.
