Hu CD14 Pos Sel Kit

From STEMCELL Technologies, this immunomagnetic positive selection kit isolates highly purified CD14+ cells from fresh leukapheresis samples without the need for columns. Described as fast and easy-to-use, it delivers up to 99% purity with high recovery, and isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction.

Cells are labeled using a cocktail of monoclonal antibodies directed against the CD14 surface marker, together with magnetic particles, and then separated using an EasySep™ magnet. Unwanted cells are simply pipetted off while desired cells remain in the flask, with the full workflow achievable in as little as 22 minutes. Starting from washed or lysed leukapheresis samples, the CD14+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 93.9 ± 4.9% (mean ± SD for the Easy 250 EasySep™ Magnet). Starting from a single-cell suspension of human PBMCs, the CD14+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 95.3 ± 4.5% (mean ± SD using the purple EasySep™ Magnet).

The kit includes an EasySep™ Human CD14 Positive Selection Cocktail II, a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS with 10% HPCD and 0.09% rHA, and EasySep™ Dextran RapidSpheres™, a suspension of magnetic particles in water. Both components should be stored at 2 – 8°C and should not be frozen.
