HOT FIREPol® EvaGreen® HRM Mix (ROX)

A ready-to-use solution for High Resolution Melt (HRM) analysis, manufactured by Solis BioDyne. The mix is supplied as a 5x formulation incorporating EvaGreen® dye together with ROX dye, and is also available in a variant without ROX. It is described as a highly sensitive mix for accurate SNP detection with reliable HRM performance and reaction set-up without ice.

The mix contains HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase, ultrapure dNTPs, MgCl₂, EvaGreen® dye, and ROX dye. The user simply adds water, template, and primers. The polymerase is activated by a 12 min incubation step at 95 °C, which prevents extension of non-specifically annealed primers and primer-dimers formed at low temperatures during qPCR setup. Recommended storage temperature is -20 °C.
