Gt Anti-Rt IgM (H), Poly, AZ, 250µg

This polyclonal antibody, offered by STEMCELL Technologies, is an allophycocyanin (APC)-conjugated goat anti-rat IgM reagent specific for the µ (heavy) chain. It is supplied as an F(ab')2 fragment prepared by pepsin digestion, with Fc fragments and whole IgG molecules removed.

According to immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA data, the reagent reacts with the heavy chain of rat IgM but not with rat IgG. It shows minimal cross-reactivity with human, cow, and horse serum proteins, though it may cross-react with IgM from other species. Flow cytometry (FC) is a verified application, with immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence microscopy (IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) reported in the literature. A suggested working dilution of 1:100 is given for flow cytometry, with titration recommended for optimal performance in each application.

The antibody is lyophilized from a solution containing sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, bovine serum albumin, and sodium azide, and is purified by a combination of pepsin digestion and antigen affinity chromatography. The product should be stored at 2–8°C undiluted and must not be frozen.
