EasySep Ser WB CD19 Pos Slctn Kit

STEMCELL Technologies offers this kit for isolating highly purified CD19+ cells from fresh human whole blood by immunomagnetic positive selection, with a stated capacity for processing 60 mL of whole blood. The method targets CD19+ cells using an antibody recognizing the CD19 surface marker; labelled cells are separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet, so unwanted cells can simply be poured off while desired cells remain in the tube. The kit is described as fast and easy-to-use, requires no columns, and is compatible with HLA serology.

Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as HLA serology, flow cytometry, or DNA/RNA extraction. Typical purity of the isolated fraction is reported as 93.6 ± 6.2% (mean ± SD) using "The Big Easy" EasySep™ Magnet, with the manufacturer also citing up to 98% purity. Whole blood should be collected in a blood collection tube containing anticoagulant, and recommended media include EasySep™ Buffer, RoboSep™ Buffer, or PBS containing 2% fetal bovine serum and 1 mM EDTA, free of Ca++ and Mg++.

The kit comprises an isolation cocktail (a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS with 2% HPCD, including an Fc receptor blocking antibody) and a suspension of magnetic particles in water, both to be stored at 2 - 8°C and not frozen. According to the manufacturer's safety information, this is a clear, odourless liquid that may act as a potential irritant to the eyes, respiratory system, and skin, and may be harmful if ingested; it is classified as chemically stable.
