Each preparation is fast, typically completed in about 15 minutes when paired with an EasySep magnet, and produces bead-free lymphocytes ready for downstream use.

The reagent set includes single-use vials of monoclonal antibody cocktail directed at the B cell lineage, dextran-coated magnetic particles, a release buffer that dissociates particles from the labeled cell surface, and a buffer concentrate for cell suspension and washes. Common input sources are mouse spleen, lymph node, bone marrow, and peripheral blood mononuclear cell preparations; species cross-reactivity is limited to mouse, so this kit should not be substituted for human B cell work.

Typical downstream workflows include flow cytometry phenotyping without the need to gate out residual bead signal, in vitro B cell stimulation assays using anti-IgM, CD40, or LPS activation, adoptive transfer into recipient mice, and nucleic acid extraction where iron-dextran residue would otherwise inhibit enzymatic reactions.
