EasySep Rat CD8+ T Cell Isolation Kit

Designed by STEMCELL Technologies, this immunomagnetic negative selection kit enables isolation of untouched, highly purified CD8+ T cells from single-cell suspensions of rat splenocytes, lymph node, or whole blood. The column-free workflow uses an EasySep™ magnet, allowing unwanted cells labelled with antibodies and magnetic particles to be separated without columns and the desired cells simply poured off into a new tube.

The kit achieves up to 94% purity and is fast and easy to use. In a typical isolation from rat splenocytes, the CD8+ T cell content (CD3+CD8+) of the isolated fraction is 91.5 ± 3.0% (mean ± SD using the purple EasySep™ Magnet). The kit has been verified for use with the Sprague Dawley and Wistar rat strains and is expected to be compatible with other strains.

Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, cell culture, or DNA/RNA extraction. The kit is designed for processing 1 x 10^9 cells and includes the EasySep™ Rat CD8+ T Cell Isolation Cocktail (a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS) and EasySep™ Dextran RapidSpheres™ 50102 (a suspension of magnetic particles in water), both stored at 2 - 8°C.
