EasySep Rat CD4+ T Cell Isolation Kit

From STEMCELL Technologies, this immunomagnetic kit is designed for processing 1 x 10^9 cells and enables isolation of untouched, highly purified CD4+ T cells from rat splenocytes, lymph node, or whole blood using negative selection. Unwanted cells are labeled with antibodies and magnetic particles, then separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet, allowing the desired cells to be poured or pipetted off into a new tube. Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, cell culture, or DNA/RNA extraction.

The workflow can be completed in as little as 13 minutes. Typical purity from rat splenocytes is 97.8 ± 0.8% (mean ± SD, using the purple EasySep™ Magnet with the optional additional separation), with the kit achieving up to 98% purity. An optional second round of separation can improve purity by up to 10%, though this may reduce recovery by 5 - 15%. The kit has been verified for use with the Sprague Dawley and Wistar rat strains and is expected to also be compatible with other strains.

Components should be stored at 2 - 8°C and not frozen. The kit is compatible with multiple magnet formats, including EasySep™, "The Big Easy", EasyEights™, Easy 50, and RoboSep™. For sample preparation, cells are resuspended at 5 x 10^7 nucleated cells/mL. The product is for research use only.
